Send a letter to the director of Associates expressing your interest in becoming an Associate. Upon receipt of the letter, you will receive a letter of introduction and application. Once your application is received, the director will contact you to talk about your desire to become an Associate and to answer any questions you may have. Once the process, which takes several months, is begun, you will be asked to submit an autobiography, letters of reference, and a current photograph. During this time you will be asked to name a Companion Sister (someone who you would like to remain in close contact with). If you do not have someone, a Sister will be chosen for you. You also will be asked to write a letter to the President of the Congregation requesting to become an Associate. You also will be asked to write a mutual agreement stating responsibilities and expectations. This agreement will be made public during a formalization ceremony which usually takes place in the Spring.
