Summer 2010 - Volume 3 Issue 1

A Special Jubilee Year!  Twenty-Eight Sisters are celebrating their jubilees this year.  We are also celebrating the Congregation's 145th anniversary on August 2, 2010.  As part of the year-long celebration, the Congregation's history has been captured in an exhibit entitled: 145 Years: Serving God, Serving Community, at the Joliet Area Historical Museum.   

Spring/Summer 2009 - Volume 2 Issue 3

Meet our Jubilarians! Twenty of our Sisters are celebrating their 40th, 50th, and 60th anniversary of religious profession as Franciscans. Two of our Sisters are celebrating their 75th anniversary from the time they entered our Novitiate. On May 3rd, we welcomed three new Associates: Alie Phillips, Marcia Van Natt a and Dolores Dean.

Winter 2009 - Volume 2 Issue 2
This issue features seventeen Sisters who presently minister in Ohio. We also welcome Jennifer Byrnes, an affiliate of the congregation since September 2007, to the Novitiate on February 1, 2009. On November 16, 2008, our Associates, along with their Companion Sisters, joined their counterparts from the Frankfort and Lemont Franciscans at an Associates Day of Reflection.

Autumn 2008 - Volume 2 Issue 1
This issue highlights our ministry in Brazil. Sr. Meg Guider and Sr. Mary Rose Lieb recently spent six days in Brazil visiting the Sisters and participating in Sr. Simone Aparecida Ferraira Soares’ profession of final vows. The Mother Alfred Moes Award was presented for the first time at this year’s Franciscan Autumn Feast to Kathy McVicker. A warm welcome to our new Associates and more!

Summer 2008 - Volume 1 Issue 4
Sister Mary Rose Lieb, President, begins this issue of Confiança which highlights several important recent events and issues for the Sisters. A reflection on Chapter 2008 is offered as well as coverage of the installation of the new 2008-2012 Central Administration. A topic near and dear to many of our hearts is also explored through a feature article written by Nan Nagl, Director of Mission Advancement. She wrote about several of the first Sisters interred at St. John's Cemetery in Joliet. Enjoy!
