Joliet Franciscan Sponsored Works
What is a sponsored work?
Our sponsored works are institutions that were founded by Joliet Franciscans;
however, the Congregation and a sponsored institution are separate corporations.
They may continue to employ our sisters and our sisters remain on
Administrative Boards, however, they operate independently of the Sisters of St. Francis.
Although the Sisters appreciate a relationship of mutual support with the
Diocese of Joliet and other church institutions, the Congregation self funds
its operating expenses without assistance from the Diocese or from other
Franciscan congregations.
