Remembering Sister Dominic Krivich, OSF

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Sister Dominic Krivich on the evening of February 8, 2018 at Our Lady of Angels Home (OLA) in Joliet.

Sister Dominic’s wake, prayer service and funeral Mass took place on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at OLA located at 1201 Wyoming Avenue in Joliet, IL.  Visitation was from 2:00- 6:45 p.m. and a prayer service at 4:45 pm (which was live-streamed).  The Mass of Christian Burial began at 7:00 p.m. and was also live-streamed.

Sister Dominic’s burial took place on Friday February, 16, 2018. She is buried in the Congregation Plot at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville, IL.

Remembering Sister Maria Aparecida “Cida” Teles Proto, OSF

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Sister Maria Aparecida Teles Proto, fondly remembered as Sr. Cida Teles, who died in Goiania, Brazil on February 1, 2018.

There will be a memorial Mass for Sr. Cida on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Angels Chapel in Joliet, which will also so be live-streamed.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Sister Patricia McGuckin, OSF, who died this morning, January 24th, at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet.

Wake ~ Monday, January 29, 2018 from 2:00 — 6:45 p.m.
Prayer Service ~ at 4:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial ~ at 7:00 p.m.

Burial ~ Tuesday, January 30, 2018 – Leaving OLA at 9:00 a.m. to Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, Illinois.

Remembering Sister Loretta Vetter, OSF

Our Sister Loretta Vetter, OSF, died peacefully at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet, IL on October 9, 2017.

Remembering Sister Grace Brouch, OSF

Our Sister Grace Brouch, OSF died peacefully at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet, IL on September 22, 2017.

Her wake and funeral Mass took place on Wednesday, September 27 at OLA and her burial took place on Thursday, September 28.  She is buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville, IL.

Remembering Sister Rose Spatny, OSF

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our Sister Rose Spatny, OSF, who died on June 12, 2017, at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home (OLA) in Joliet, IL.  Sister Rose would have been celebrating her 80th Jubilee this year.  We extend our prayers and sympathy to her family and friends.

Remembering Sister Kay Francis Berger, OSF

On April 14, 2017,  Sister Kay Francis Berger, artist laureate of the Congregation, died at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home (OLA) in Joliet, IL.  She was known internationally for her Franciscan-themed artwork.

Sister Kay Francis’ wake and funeral Mass took place at Our Lady of Angels on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.  Her cremains were buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville, Illinois, on June 12, 2017.
