“Let None Walk Alone – a Guide for Family and Friends of Incarcerated People” by Sister Juanita Ujcik OSF has just been published. The Sisters of St. Francis are hosting a book signing at the Joliet Franciscan Center, 1433 Essington Road, Joliet, on Monday, March 20th from 11:00A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sister Juanita will be available throughout to speak with our guests and answer questions.

Sr. Juanita spent 30 years in jail ministry serving the incarcerated in the Will County Adult Detention Facility and DuPage County jail. She wrote this book because there was no similar material available for families. Few among us understand the aspects of the jail system until we know someone and walk through it ourselves. In “Let None Walk Alone,” Sister Juanita strives to provide some of that understanding to families and friends of inmates and to assure them that they do not walk this journey alone.
